DESCRIPTION  

LOS CANTOS is located at the foot of the Sierra de Mijas, at the head of the Guadalhorce Valley, between MIJAS, COIN and ALHAURIN EL GRANDE, near golf courses such as Alhaurín Golf, Lauro Golf, Mijas Golf and La Cala Golf, surrounded by orchards, fruit trees and groves.
Ideal for 15 people with the possibility of five (5) extra beds, is built on two floors, the property has an area of approximately 3,000 square meters of gardens, Mediterranean forest cypresses, pine trees etc, where travelers will enjoy the tranquility and views of this beautiful place.  Los Cantos is a beautiful and traditional Andalusian farmhouse with a large private fenced swimming pool and a pond with a waterfall and goldfish. Free wifi is available in the lounges of the accommodation.


It is ideal for lovers of tranquillity and nature, where you can enjoy a relaxing and peaceful holiday with your family and friends, and observe a diversity of birds in their natural habitat. It is close to the Costa del Sol, near Fuengirola, Mijas, Marbella and Malaga.

Los Cantos is qualified by the Consejeria de Turismo, Comercio y deporte as a CASA RURAL DE CATEGORIA SUPERIOR with registration number CR/MA/00530, which guarantees the highest quality of accommodation.                                                                                                          

This property offers guests entertainment such as pool table, professional table football, dart board, basketball hoop and gymnasium.
The property is completely fenced with an exclusive and private access for travellers through a decorated double gate.
There is covered parking for several vehicles.

The private swimming pool is exclusively for the use of travellers and is fenced around the perimeter, thus protecting the access of unaccompanied minors.

There are sun loungers with parasols where you can sunbathe.
Pond with fish and several waterfalls.
The swimming pool is filled by a natural waterfall from a spring in the Sierra de Mijas.

The ground floor of the Cortijo and the outside areas are fully accessible for people with reduced mobility.


DISTRIBUTION OF THE GROUND FLOOR

The cortijo is built on two floors connected by interior stairs.
It is accessed through the open terrace where you can enjoy a set built in handmade stone, consisting of a table and six armchairs.
Next, there is a covered porch with wooden beams, where the summer kitchen is located, with wood and coal barbecue, cupboards, gas cooker, sink, complete kitchenware, wooden table with its corresponding independent benches.

Through the covered entrance porch you can access the living-dining room nº 1; with a spectacular sloping ceiling of beams and wooden boarding, it has a glazed fireplace with fans for the circulation of hot air, two sofas, three and two seats, and a 50" LED television.
Through the living-dining room nº 1, we access to the winter kitchen which has ceramic hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and extractor hood, as well as a complete kitchenware, with cutlery, crockery, blender, juicer, kettle, coffee maker, etc...

From the living-dining room nº 1 there is a corridor that leads to the bathroom nº 1 with shower with screen, washbasin with pedestal and WC, with hairdryer. Next we have bedroom nº 1 with double bed and fitted wardrobe.

From lounge/dining room nº 1 we access through a wooden door to the spacious lounge nº 2 with a sloping reeded ceiling,

We access the first floor through the staircase with wooden handrail located in the living room nº 1.
Through the upstairs corridor we access the following rooms:

•     Bedroom nº 3 with double bed with sloping beamed ceilings and wooden boarding and fan.
•     Bedroom nº 4 with a single bed, wooden wardrobe with sloping beamed ceilings and wooden boarding and 

             fan.

•     Bathroom nº 3, complete with bath with shower screen, washbasin set in terracotta furniture, toilet and 

             bidet, with a hipped roof with beams and wooden boarding.

•     Bedroom nº 5 with two single beds and built-in wardrobe and fan,

There are two ways to access bedroom no. 6 with two single beds, fan and a dressing room:

•     Through bedroom no. 5  
•     Through the gymnasium on the first floor.

 From the metal staircase from living room nº 2 you can access the gym located on the first floor and bedroom nº 6.

                                          DISTRIBUTION BETWEEN FLOORS

Through a staircase located in the living room nº 2, there is access to bedroom nº 7 with four single beds with air conditioning and a bathroom with toilet and washbasin with pedestal. This bedroom has views of the mountains, the orchard and the Arab watchtower built in the 14th century.
